“Desperate times call for desperate measures”
It’s a saying which becomes Norah’s life when she summons a demon in a bid for safety.
Alistair, full-fledged Heir of Hell, answers her summons and finds himself with a live human in his care while juggling his own problems, mainly keeping the terrifying Lady Sylvera away from him.
After a decoy kiss they make a second deal. Norah becomes his companion and shield in the trappings of Underworld courting and Alistair keeps her safe in a dimension which would like nothing more than to gobble her up.
But really, that kiss was only a decoy. Right?
